Try to hardwire it. If that doesn't work, there is something amiss with the Android boxes. I would call the Android box mfr and ask them. The gateway should not need to do anything special other than maybe assigning different SSID names to the 2.4GHz and 5GHz radios and pointing your devices to the approbate one or just use the Guest Network as mentioned before.
